In a distinguished celebratory atmosphere reflecting the spirit of cooperation and partnership between the public and private sectors, the Jordan Hotels Association held an official ceremony under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Emad Hijazin, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities. The event was attended by esteemed ministers, senior officials, members of the Association’s Board of Directors, and a large gathering of leading investors and executives from the hotel and tourism sectors across the Kingdom. The evening was professionally emceed by media figure Dr. Hani Al-Badri, whose presentation added a refined and organized touch to the program.
The ceremony commenced with a speech by the Minister, who welcomed the attendees and expressed his appreciation for this initiative that brings together a distinguished group of investors and professionals from the tourism and hospitality sectors under one umbrella. He emphasized that such gatherings serve as an important platform for strengthening dialogue and partnership between the public and private sectors. His Excellency further highlighted that the tourism sector is a fundamental pillar of the national economy, noting that the coming phase requires greater integration of efforts and joint action to keep pace with regional and global developments. He stressed the importance of enhancing the sector’s ability to address challenges and transform them into opportunities for growth and development, in alignment with national plans for tourism development.
Following this, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Hotels Association, Hussein Hilalat, presented a speech underscoring the importance of genuine partnership between the public and private sectors. He noted that this gathering comes within the framework of promoting constructive dialogue and discussing key challenges facing the hotel sector amid ongoing regional and global developments.
Hilalat also emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to develop practical solutions that enhance the competitiveness of the tourism sector, in line with national plans and the future vision for tourism development toward achieving the 2030 targets. He reaffirmed that the hotel sector is a vital component in supporting the national economy and boosting tourism investment in the Kingdom.
